Free Vocle vector spotted in .net Magazine
Flicking through the August edition of .net Magazine I noticed a very familiar looking vector graphic. On second glance I realised it was from the set of free surfing and diving silhoutte vectors that I released on this blog.
It’s within the ‘Website Build-Off’ section of the magazine, where designers create mock-ups of ficticous sites. Steve Boulton has used it within his design for a dynamic widget on the homepage.
Stoked to see the graphic put to good use! Let me know if you see any other examples lurking around.
Photoshop tricks to help your surfing!
Photoshop CS4 has a few nifty little tricks in the bonnet but their Content-Aware Scaling is something really impressive. It lets you re-size images according to your height and width specifications without messing up the pixel information too much.

Free Silhouette Vectors - Surfing & Diving action
Here’s a pack of free vector silhouettes made from some photos taken in Indonesia. The pack includes a surfing sequence and some silhouettes of people diving off a boat. I tried submitting them to some vector stock sites but got rejected so I thought I’d share them around - enjoy! Feel free to use them for any commercial jobs - just no re-selling.

Free Photoshop Brush set - Trippy Night Lights (blurs)
This set comes from photos I recently took with the fireworks setting on my Sony Cybershot. It’s a great little setting for creating trippy effects at night. I realised some of the shots would be perfect for creating photoshop brushes, hope you like the results!

Here’s another set of Photoshop Brushes to download and use for whatever you want. They were put together from traces I recently did for a project. I didn’t end up using them anywhere so I thought i would share them with everyone.

Here’s my very first set of brushes made from some photos I recently took at Thredbo in New South Wales. I didn’t realise how good they would work as photoshop brushes so I only shot a couple of prints.
