Five Under Golf Apparel needed a website redesign to launch their new business direction

Five Under Golf Apparel needed a website redesign to launch their new business direction with custom apparel. A brand new website was built to fit the functionality required to display the fabric and style choices. A dynamic product slider was built to make it easy for the user to scroll through each style choice without having to load a new page.

The site also uses a database management tool that connects directly with the websites sign-up form. This allows for mass email-outs and list management functions.

Features:

A dynamic product slider

Sign-up form directly connected to mailing list database & management software

It’s within the ‘Website Build-Off’ section of the magazine, where designers create mock-ups of ficticous sites. Steve Boulton has used it within his design for a dynamic widget on the homepage.

Stoked to see the graphic put to good use! Let me know if you see any other examples lurking around.

Showcasing 2 properties within one website

Sunset Portarlington wanted to showcase each of their accommodation properties within one centralised website. The site needed to easily distinguish the 2 different properties but allow users to seamlessly change from one to the other.

To achieve this I created separate mini-sites for each house and used separate colour schemes and styles. Both sections contain dynamic flash photo galleries, interactive google maps and enquiry forms. Users can easily switch between properties via links in the top right-hand corner of every page.

Features:

Dynamic photo gallery & homepage slideshows - allowing the client to update and edit any of the images

2 separate properties showcased within the one website

Tonik Surf Centre wanted a website that would bring their retail reputation to the web

Tonik Surf Centre wanted a website that would bring their retail reputation to the web and build on their brand. The site was constructed to hold a large amount of content in an orderly fashion. From product news & profiles to information on each of their Surfboard designs there is a structure in place to represent each element.

The sites strength lies in the amount of interactivity available to the user. Users can get involved with the website & brand by entering competitions, leaving feedback, joining the mailing list and ordering products.

Features:

Latest News slider display on homepage

Interactivity - Users can enter competitions, order products & leave comments

Surfboard ‘mini site’ - giving the section a separate structure from the rest of the site

Photoshop CS4 has a few nifty little tricks in the bonnet but their Content-Aware Scaling is something really impressive. It lets you re-size images according to your height and width specifications without messing up the pixel information too much.

It doesn’t work with all images but I’ve found it pretty fun playing around with certain surfing images - You can quickly and easily add a few feet to the waves by simply stretching the height of the images. Who can you trust now when it’s this easy to manipulate your digital pics?
